Safety Door
The horizontal side sliding Safety Door is designed to make use of the Pole-and-Collar Handling System. By locking open approximately two inches, this Safety Door helps prevent aggressive animals from jumping on the handler or escaping.
Transfer Doors
Our Transfer Doors facilitate cage changes by moving animals without transfer boxes. Opening the Transfer Doors on adjoining modules provides additional floor space for exercise and social interaction. While the Transfer Doors provide visual contact, the front portion is a solid panel, allowing the animal to avoid eye contact from a dominant neighbor.
Introduction Doors
Introduction Doors were designed to provide minimal contact between cage neighbors when introducing new primates to an existing group or testing compatibility for social housing. The Introduction Doors are available with different size openings to allow varying degrees of contact. The doors replace the lexan transfer doors while the Fixed Introduction Panels bolt to the cage frame.
Squeeze-Back Mechanism
The mechanism is the best in the business. It features a trigger latch for one-handed operation and locks every one inch in its movement range.
Feeders
Our Feeders lock to the housing unit. Hinged lids snap closed to reduce feed waste. A feed observation window allows for easily monitored consumption. By removing the observation windows, animals can be trained to present arms and legs for procedures.
Foraging Boards
Increase species-specific behavior. The PPI foraging board allows animals to spend time foraging in the laboratory environment. The foraging boards can be loaded with a variety of food items; loading the forager with smaller items increases the time spent foraging.
View Port
This option increases the animal's control of their environment. It allows the animal visual access to neighbors within the room, increasing visual variety/stimulation. It can be used to dose animals or for physical exams in cage-trained animals.
Braking Systems
Our patented Braking Systems lock in place, using a unique retractable front caster system. The two rear casters are fixed to the unit's frame to secure the back of the module while the transfer doors are open.
